Areas of Interest
• Championed the first ever Corrosion Management campaign across seven oil & gas facilities in SPDC which led to the identification of unknown corrosion threats in different facilities, Increased technical know-how of on-site workers, and further development and adoption of a clear Corrosion Management Policy by the leadership team. This resulted to proactive corrosion monitoring, significant drop in corrosion leaks thereby minimizing hydrocarbon discharge to the environment cum climate change impact.
• Implemented (in collaboration with Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) ) Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) for critical static equipment for onshore and offshore facilities leading to over $80m savings from actual inspections and production retained from deferred shutdowns.
• Developed specific Corrosion Management Frameworks for SPDC Production facilities which enabled simplification of inspection to gain $400k per annum ($100K in increased productivity and IT cost saving of $300k) using the Integrity Management System (IMS) application.
• Achieved cost saving of over $1M from Inspection optimization for Forcados Yokri Integrated Project (FYIP) and Humidur Maintenance Painting deployment.
• Co-facilitated the competence development of over 50 Inspector Staff, identified competence gaps and implemented a competence gap closure plan (Masterclasses by experienced engineers, job rotation and external trainings). He recently published a technical paper titled “ Corrosion Management Framework: A structured Approach to Managing Corrosion in Oil and Gas Facilities. • Contributed to the review & development of the Energy Transition Roadmap for Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN) and presently driving implementation through periodic cadence review session with strategic stakeholders.
• Co-created the ‘’Electrification of Office building using Solar’’ initiative in Shell Nigeria which is being recognized by the leadership team, and selected pilot office location is considered for 2023 company budget to drive implementation of initiative.
• Established strategic partnerships with 6 no. networks aligned with FEL’s objectives including the SCiN Energy Transition team and has supported the organization of over 10 no. energize sessions on several energy transition topics with a cumulative attendance of over 1000.
• Co-facilitated the first ever Energy Transition Ideathon in Shell Nigeria with over 360 colleagues in attendance. 58 ideas were generated which are presently being developed into initiatives that will support the energy transition in the country.
• He’s part of the Shell Web3 community, an employee network committed to harnessing the unique features of blockchain technology to delivering business agenda through creating awareness on the use case of blockchain in the energy industry.
• He participated in reviewing Shell web3 Strategy document which captures six web three narratives: transparency services, smart grids & supply chains, tokenized trading & markets, Fractionalized assets, regenerative tokenomics and Energy DAO’s.
• Paschal’s blockchain proposal was a finalist at the 2022 Shell Blockchain Proposal Contest.
